HCC President, Robert James Cimasi testifies before Alaska Legislature regarding Certificate of Need (CON) April 2007
On April 24, 2007, HCC President, Robert James Cimasi testified via teleconference before the Alaska House of Representatives Health Education and Social Services Committee regarding H.B. 4 to repeal CON for medical facilities in Alaska. He explained how research indicates that CON has failed to reduce costs or increase quality of care, thereby resulting in a failed health policy for Alaska citizens.
