HCC President, Robert James Cimasi, MHA, ASA, CBA, AVA, CM&AA, accepted the "Outstanding Chapter Education Event" award on behalf of the ASA St. Louis Chapter from International President, Ronald M. Seaman, FASA, at the 2009 ASA International Appraisal Conference, held in Orlando, FL on July 13, 2009.

The "Outstanding Chapter Education Event" award was in recognition of the St. Louis Chapter's achievement in demonstrating and promoting continuing education for the valuation profession with the successful 2009 St. Louis Chapter Valuation Symposium: Seeking Value in a Changing Economy, held in St. Louis, MO on February 6-7, 2009. The Symposium featured a faculty of leading national experts on economics, finance and valuation, as well as tax and bankruptcy law.

The ASA St. Louis Chapter includes certified professional appraisers from across the St. Louis region in several disciplines including, business valuation, real property, machinery and equipment, fine arts and personal property, and gems and jewelry, with expertise in a variety of industries and specialties.

Mr. Cimasi served as President of the St. Louis Chapter for the 2008-2009 chapter year.
