ACA Repeal Bill Introduced by House Republicans

On March 6, 2017, Republicans in the U.S. House of Representatives introduced a bill designed to "repeal and replace the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act."  The bill would alter many of the reforms that comprise the 2010 landmark healthcare legislation, including the individual mandate and Medicaid expansion provisions. The bill, which is scheduled to be heard on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 by the Committee on Energy and Commerce within the U.S. House, may be found here. A U.S. House summary of the bill may be found here. This Health Capital Topics Special Alert provides a summary of major provisions of the bill. (Read more...)

Advanced Distance Education to Launch in 2017

named a "Pioneer of the Profession," by the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts (NACVA) and Consultants Training Institute (CTI) as part of their Silver Anniversary recognition luncheon of valuation "Industry Titans," which distinguishes those whom have had the greatest impact on the profession.  Mr. Cimasi joins valuation profession luminaries, including: Dr. Shannon P. Pratt, Chris Mercer, James R. Hitchner, Roger J. Grabowski, Richard Wise, Jay E. Fishman, Nancy Fannon, Honorable Judge David Laro, Howard Lewis, and Mel H.
